Title: VP - REGIONAL AREA
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Provide strategic direction and progressive leadership for assigned business unit. Responsible for new business development, client retention/penetration, delivery of quality services, and effective and efficient operational administrative management.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

*o Prepares, submits and operates against approved annual budget. Monitors progress against short and long-term business objectives.
*o Develops and manages a progressive, aggressive and innovative sales and marketing program to continue to grow profitable base of business.
*o Evaluates industry/business trends for potential impact on the organization. Identifies key business opportunities as well as potential threats to the business.
*o Directs the implementation of best demonstrated industry and company practices as well as corporate, field and TQM initiatives.
*o Manages the recruitment, selection, orientation, training, development and retention of high caliber staff.
*o Provides billable services directly as appropriate. Provides counsel in areas of technical expertise. Directs/oversees major/highly sensitive projects.
*o Coordinates with sales representatives on business development priorities and key sales actions. Partners with other partner organizations on cross-selling efforts and referrals. Negotiates client contracts.
*o Maintains ongoing contact with client customers. Plans and participates in client service calls for the purpose of obtaining feedback critical to maintaining client accounts.
*o Maintains ongoing contact with prospective organizations for the purpose of developing long-term quality business.
*o Analyzes key financial performance indicators. Focuses on on-going improvement in office performance.
*o Maintains a positive, professional environment free of illegal discrimination and harassment. Sees that each staff member is treated with dignity and respect.
*o Ensures staff understands and complies with applicable policies, procedures and statutes. Pursues affirmative action goals and remains in compliance with EEO, Wage and Hour and other applicable statutes.
*o Delegates workload effectively to ensure client requirements are met, staff members are utilized appropriately and labor costs are contained.
*o Ensures that the staff remains focused on high quality customer service.
*o Authorizes appropriate expenditures including equipment, supplies, advertising, automobile maintenance.
*o Focuses on prompt and effective resolution of legal, financial, H.R. and administrative issues.
*o Facilitates teamwork and the implementation of progressive change.
*o Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location.

Knowledge:
Bachelors Degree and 10+ years progressively responsible, related business experience or equivalent background, including prior supervisory experience.

Demonstrated understanding of investigations or security consulting (e.g., workplace violence, network security) with proven capabilities in the areas of business development, financial management, and human resources/administration.

Skills/Abilities:
Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions.
 Excellent verbal, written and executive presentation skills.
 Excellent planning, organizing and leadership/supervisory skills.
 Excellent customer and service orientation.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to see, hear, speak and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and/or other customers; manual dexterity required for occasional reaching and lifting of small objects, and operating office equipment.

Travels as appropriate to meet accountabilities.
