Title:
Internal Auditor
Location: Hoboken, New Jersey
Summary
The
primary responsibilities of the Vice President are planning and carrying
out audit assignments. The individual should be creative as well as a
strategic thinker proficient in addressing business and information
technology issues. This requires a thorough understanding of Internal
Audit’s philosophy and audit process. The individual must be
hands-on, bring a proactive approach to the role as well as
being results oriented, and maintain a sense of urgency.
Requires experience in communicating with Auditees at all levels as well
as senior Bank management and, as necessary, the Audit Committee.
Management/Supervision
The individual may assume responsibility of the Internal Audit
function in the absence of the Auditor. Works independently and as a
member of the Internal Audit Team.
Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
1.
Plans
audit assignments in conjunction with the Auditor;
2.
Evaluates
risks and controls of business, support and system areas;
3.
Documents
the results of fieldwork in audit work papers;
4.
Discusses
results of the audit with the Auditor and area management;
5.
Prepares
draft audit reports in a timely manner;
6.
Assists,
as necessary, with reviews performed by the External Auditor, Regulatory
Agencies and the Parent Bank Audit Department.

Attends
Audit Committee meetings. |

Attends
compliance seminars and passes any tests that may be given
9.
Performs
special projects at the request of the Auditor and/or senior management.
10.
General
Compliance Responsibilities: Monitors the business activities and
operations of the Bank for potentially suspicious activities, and,
utilizing the Suspicious Activity Reporting Form found in the Bank’s “P”
Drive, reports promptly to the Bank’s Secrecy Act Officer and Legal
Department all potentially suspicious activities of which the employee
becomes aware.

all functions as assigned by the Auditor and/or senior management.
Administrative
Requirements
Requires a Pro-Active individual who recognizes the need for excellence,
accountability of performance, conscious of budget and time constraints,
flexible with change and strives to deliver a quality product.
Technical Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting.
2. Five to ten years Financial Services audit experience
(preferably banking);
3. CPA/MBA preferred;
4. Knowledge of Global Custody and Securities Lending;
5. Knowledge of PC Software;
6. Excellent oral and written communications skills.
7. Understanding of Information Technology operations and the
system integration process.
8. Enhanced knowledge of Regulatory Compliance including BSA/AML
requirements, in order to perform compliance audits. |
